Image Sharing

Social networking and the ability to easily make available digital media such as video and pictures have spurred a revolution in the way people can share and store digital information about their lives. Not the least of these is the way that digital images can be created, shared, mixed, remixed and displayed. Most image sharing sites started out as a simple way to share digital photos. Even Walmart and Walgreens have photo sharing sites. It is interesting to note the evolution of these sites from ones that displayed images to sites that allow the user to not only upload images but also grab images from other image sites then modify and improve the image. Many features abound. A user can upload an image or grab an image from another site, resize it, change colors, add virtual stickers, add layers then publish it to another web site.
